Robert Raymond Kiser

Robert Raymond Kiser, 89, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 at Union Hospital in Dover, O., following a period of declining health.

Born December 2, 1919 in Stone Creek, O., he was a son of the late John N. Kiser and Flora E. (Renner) Kiser Welch.

A lifelong resident of the area, Robert was a graduate of Gnadenhutten High School in the class of 1940. He was employed by Unger Lumber, Inc. until his retirement and had been a member of the local Carpenters’ Union. Lutheran by faith, Robert was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stone Creek.

He is survived by his caregivers and good friends, Matt and Julie Ueltschy of Uhrichsville, as well as many other friends, including Rhonda Cochran, Gayle Parrish, Justin Willis, Larry Williamson, Mandi Fawcett, Ingrid Moore, Corinna Stine, Barb Laizure, Michele Wayman, Danielle Toth, Francis Neilson, James O’Donohue, Mary Lou Workman, and Jock and Lois Grandison.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Kiser; a sister, Helen Kiser; his Grandma and Grandpa Renner; his Grandma and Grandpa Kiser; and a good friend, Harvey Morrison.

Services for Robert, officiated by Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will be with his parents in Stone Creek Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Those wishing to honor Robert’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Zion Lutheran Church.
