Robert A. Baiker

Robert Anthony Baiker, 64, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison, Ohio, on Monday November 6, 2023. Born December 16, 1958 in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Joseph Lee and Barbara Lee (Smith) Baiker.

After his 1978 graduation from Sandy Valley High School, Robert studied at Stark State Technical College. He worked in the maintenance department at Romany Ceramics in East Sparta for a number of years until its closing. He was a ham radio enthusiast, enjoyed going to tractor pulls and steam shows, and in his younger years loved sky diving and hunting.

Robert is survived by his children, Jeremy Baiker, Amanda Baiker, and Susan Crust; grandchildren, David J. “Joey”, James, and Jacob Crust, and Anne Nasuta; brother, David (Linda) Baiker; and his former spouse, Christine Baiker.

Robert’s funeral will be held at noon on Monday, November 13, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Melscheimer Cemetery at East Sparta, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
