Robert A. “Bucky” Lint, 76, of Dennison, O. passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, December 10, 2008.
Born January 8, 1932 in Uhrichsville, O., he was a son of the late Oscar A. “Bucky” and Mary (Chini) Lint.
A member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison, Bob was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School in the class of 1950 and a lifelong resident of the area with the exception of his time serving in the military. He was an Air Policeman with the Air Force during the 1950’s, having served as a guard for Air Force One during the Eisenhower presidency.
Upon returning home from the service of his country, Bob began his employment at Midvale Truck Sales and Service in 1957. He has been employed there ever since, continuing to work several days a week even after he retired from his full time position as a Sales Manager.
Bob was a man of many interests, enjoying the time that he spent on his hobby farm, caring for his horses and working with his tractor. He also enjoyed working on his Model A Ford. His greatest joy, though, came from his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who delighted in the time that he could be with his children and grandchildren.
On August 13, 1955, he married the former Katherine V. Milantoni who survives him. They have five children, Renee Edwards and her husband, Eddy, of Dennison, Rob Lint and his wife, Beth, of Dennison, Milan Lint and Mitch Berlin of New York, NY, Amy Conn and her husband, Chris, of Sherrodsville, and Aaron Lint and his wife, Amy, of Ravenna; eleven grandchildren, Amy Peoples and her husband, Mark, Annette Edwards, Abigail Jackson and her husband, Jason, Clay Edwards, Olivia and Elliot Lint, Everett, Owen and Liliana Conn, and Oscar and Emerson Lint; and two great grandchildren, Colin Peoples and Nora Jackson.
Bob is also survived his dear aunts, Alma and Dorothy, and a number of brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Myra Mann, and lifelong friends, Nile Abbuhl, Larry Craft and Carl Fivecoat.
Services for Bob, officiated by Father Martin J. Ralko, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, in Immaculate Conception Church at Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, during which time a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Those wishing to honor Bob’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Claymont Foundation, P.O. Box 255, Dennison, OH 44621 and Immaculate Conception Elementary, 100 Sherman Street, Dennison, OH 44621.
