Rickey L. Roberts

Rickey Lee Roberts, 67, of Gnadenhutten, died on Feb. 20, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover after a long illness. Born April 2, 1954 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, he was a son of the late Jack Lee and Mary Lou (Matheas) Roberts.

Rick spent much of his life in the Mt. Pleasant area before moving to Tuscarawas County in 1996. He was a past president of the Cadiz Eagles who loved fishing, his model car collection, and working in his extensive flower beds. He will also be remembered for his remarkable artistic abilities, as well as his musical talents as a drummer. Most of all, he deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

On December 4, 2000, Rick married Melissa Y. (Haugh) Roberts who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Anthony and Autumn Starr and Aaron Myers; grandchildren, Eliza, Addison, Kendal, Grayson, and Conway; and a large extended family whom he loved very much.

Pastor Paul Harvey will officiate a 1pm funeral on Feb. 23, 2022, at R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where visitation will be for two hours before the service. He will be interred in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
