Richard Raymond “Dick” Clark, 80, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville, from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Born April 23, 1936 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Harry Denver and Lucille Mildred (Shull) Clark.
Dick was a lifelong Twin City resident and a seventy year member of Uhrichsville First Christian Church. He was employed by Metropolitan insurance for many years, as well as driving semi-trucks for a couple of area firms, including Pepsi. Dick volunteered at the Twin City Christian Service Center’s Food Pantry and at the Conotton Bike Trail where he enjoyed riding.
On May 6, 1957, Dick married the former Barbara Ann Deeslie who survives him along with their children, Rochelle Clark, Suzy Clark, Richard “Dick” (Robin) Clark, and Lori (Brian) DeLong; grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Brittany Jones, and Ashley D. Jackson; great-grandchildren, Jade, Grace, Quade and Hadley Jones, and Kaileigh and Brayden Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Libby Lou Ziegler.
A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Gordon Furbay, will be held at 10am on Thursday, October 6, in Uhrichsville First Christian Church. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Wednesday in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
