Richard A. "Dick" Mcmath

Richard Alan McMath, 60, of Bowerston, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison. Born April 22, 1957 in Dennison, he was a son of the late John Dean McMath, Sr. and Mary Jo (Whitaker) McMath.

Dick was a lifelong resident of the area who had been a driver for several area trucking companies. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, playing guitar and, most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Saundra (Grezlik) McMath whom he married September 14, 2001; stepchildren, Shannon (Shawn) Segee and Matthew (Alexandra) Eckhardt; grandchildren; Brianna, John and Jacob Mahaffey, Cheyenne and Mitchell Harte, and Jaden, Daniel and Liam Eckhardt; siblings, Sheila Coen, John (Darla) McMath, Jr. and Robert (Beth) McMath; brother- and sister-in-law, Ron and Sarah Grezlik; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong, dear friends, David Burdette, Glen Arnold, Kelly Pearch, Georgia Caul and Harlan Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dustie McMath.

Pastor Henry L. McNeil will officiate a memorial service at 1pm on Friday, June 9, in St. John Worship and Praise Community Church in Uhrichsville where his family will receive callers for an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
