Rena C. Patterson

Rena Patterson, 79, of Dennison, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Born April 14, 1934 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Robert Marshall and Julia Rose (Wenger) Stocker.

A lifelong resident of the area, Rena was a graduate of Dennison High School in the class of 1952 and a lifelong member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church near Dennison. From the time of her marriage in 1953, she devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Rena is survived by her husband of 60 years, James J. “Pat” Patterson; a son, Mike Patterson and his wife, Ann, of Lake Forest, Illinois; two granddaughters, Kate Foran and her husband, Matt, of Austin, Texas and Molly Patterson of Streetsboro, Ohio; two sisters, Anola Ramsey of Dennison and Rose Ann Browning and her husband, Ronald, of Uhrichsville; and a brother, Robert Stocker of Dennison.

In accordance with Rena’s wishes and those of her family, she has been cremated without a public visitation or service. A private family service is planned, and she will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
