Rebecca L. Leeper

January 17, 1947 — January 28, 2015

Rebecca L. “Becky” Leeper, 68, of Dennison, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, after a lengthy illness. Born January 17, 1947 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Albert Edwin Snedeker and June Louise (Herman) Snedeker LaCroix. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Randy and Billy Snedeker; parents-in-law, Harry and Dorcas Leeper; and niece, Shelly Leeper.

A 1965 graduate of Uhrichsville H.S., Becky was a Twin City resident throughout her life. She was Christian by faith and attended several area churches. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she will be remembered for her wonderful cooking at the River Biscuit Inn, Kent State University-Tuscarawas cafeteria, and her catering events. Many family and friends will miss being able to call her for her cooking advice and recipes. In her spare time, she enjoyed her card club, bowling, and above all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

On June 12, 1965, she married George W. Leeper with whom she looked forward to celebrating 50 years of marriage. She is also survived by her children, George W. (Mandy) Leeper, II of Dennison, Crystal L. Leeper of the home, and Chad M. (Amy) Leeper of Dennison; grandchildren, Lincoln (fiancée, Courtney) Leeper, Michael (fiancée, Stephanie) McQuaid, Taylor Gibson, Trent Leeper, Hope McQuaid, and Nick Leeper; sisters, Sandy (Harry) Leeper and Cathy Tice; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends who were like children and grandchildren to her.

In keeping with Becky’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, as would be her wish, having helped with countless charities over the years.
