Rebecca Ann Devore

Rebecca Ann Devore, 60, of Gnadenhutten, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a sudden illness. Born January 7, 1955 in Barberton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Amos Leroy and Sarah Leona (Lavelle) Betleyoun. A resident of Tuscarawas County for most of her life, Rebecca was a retired nurses’ aide who had worked for area nursing homes for over 25 years.

On July 27, 1974, Rebecca married Ralph E. Devore with whom she looked forward to celebrating 41 years of marriage later this month. She is also survived by a daughter, Sally (John) Dummermuth of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Jacey and Jacob Dummermuth of Uhrichsville; sister, Thelma Affolter; brother, Don Betleyoun; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear canine companion, J.J. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Garbrandt, and two brothers, Jim and Russ Betleyoun.

In keeping with Rebecca’s wishes, she will be cremated without a public visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
