Ramona L. Davis, 84, of Gnadenhutten passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 19, 2018 at the Truman Hospice House in New Philadelphia. She was born the only child of the late George Frederick and Ethel Lillian (Minney) Clum on July 4, 1934.
Ramona graduated from Gnadenhutten High School in 1952, she then went on to continue her education at Kent State University where she received her Bachelors of Science and then pursued her master’s degree at University of Dayton. After completing her schooling, she became a teacher for Indian Valley Schools and retired in 2000. After retirement she was active in the State Teachers Retirement Association.
Surviving her are her children, Crystal Bobzien and Jimmie (Cathy) Blackwell II; grandchildren, Nicole (Donald) Cooper, Rebecca (Ronnie) Turnbull, Jim (Erin) Riggle, Matthew (Briana) Bobzien, Angella Blackwell, and Marissa Blackwell; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Haugh, Joshua Haugh, and Dakoda Cooper. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Blackwell and David Davis, and her son-in-law Harold E. “Haddy” Bobzien.
Services for Ramona, officiated by Pastor Ryan Cockrill will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Gnadenhutten’s Clay-Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
