Ralph E. "Ike" Devore

Ralph Edward “Ike” Devore, 65, of Gnadenhutten, passed away at his home on Friday, May 12, 2017. Born April 27, 1952 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Lloyd Eugene and Laura Belle (Armstrong) Devore. He was a lifelong resident of the area who had been a truck mechanic for Cubby Drilling, D.I. Industries and K.R. Sulzner Construction.

On July 27, 1974, he married the former Rebecca Ann Betleyoun and enjoyed 41 years of marriage until her death on July 13, 2015. They are survived by a daughter, Sarah “Sally” (John) Dummermuth; grandchildren, Jacey and Jacob Dummermuth who were his pride and joy; and dear canine companion, JJ. Ike is also survived by siblings, Laura (Rick) Gribble, Linda (Lyn) Gee, Bonnie Hootman, Jill (Mark) Presutti, William (Maryann) Devore and Henry Devore, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lloyd, David and Joyce Devore.

In keeping with Ike’s wishes, he will be cremated without a public visitation or service.
