Perry W. Willison

August 8, 1949 — December 12, 2010

Perry W. Willison, 61, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away at his home on Sunday, December 12, 2010 after a short illness. Born August 8, 1949 in Dennison, O., he was a son of the late John L. “Jack” Willison, Sr. and Eileen B. (Hodkinson) Willison.

Affectionately known as “P-Dub”, Perry was always on the go. He enjoyed good natured banter with his friends and family and always had a new one-liner to win laughs from his mark. He maintained this until his final days with us, having his medical staff laughing at his wise cracks. Even his youngest nieces and nephews were always amused and loved visits with Uncle Perry. Beyond the entertainment, Perry was always thinking of others and his caring nature was easily evident.

In recent years Perry enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and occasionally to regional casinos with friends and family. In his spare time, Perry also loved to garden and travel. “P-Dub” will be dearly missed.

A lifelong resident of the area with the exception of the time while he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he was a 1967 graduate of Lakeland High School and a member of the Uhrichsville Moose. Most recently, he was an employee of Aleris and had previously worked for Alsco for twenty years until their closing. Perry was Methodist by faith.

Perry is survived by two daughters, Krista and Kellie Willison of Sugarcreek; two sisters, Mrs. Mark (Joy) Andreatta of Uhrichsville and Mrs. Richard (Grace Ann) Seibert of Dennison; two brothers, Tim J. Willison and his wife, Heidi, of Uhrichsville and James. L. Willison and his wife, Melinda, of Tippecanoe; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Willison of Uhrichsville; two aunts, Marilyn Rogers of Uhrichsville and Irene Hodkinson of Piedmont; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other dear family members; and a longtime friend, Nancy Lake of Dennison and her family.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by a brother, John L. “Jack” Willison, Jr.

Services for Perry, officiated by Rev. Harry Milligan, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will be in Greenmont Union Cemetery at Freeport, O. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
