Paul Edwin Stratton Ii

Paul Edwin Stratton II, 72 of Gnadenhutten, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Born March 24, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio, he was the eldest son of the late Paul E. Sr. and Margaret (Coggins) Stratton.

Paul was a 1963 graduate of Linsly Military Academy after attending St. Mary’s High School. Paul dedicated over 30 years of volunteer service to the Dennison Railroad Museum. He headed the Model Railroaders and model railroad layout, which has been a highlight of the museum. Paul served 2 years as President of the Board and many years on the Executive Committee and many other museum committees. He was a board member when the Dennison Depot became a National Landmark. In 1998, Paul was recognized as Volunteer of the Year, and in 2002, he was recognized as a Bud Norman Outstanding Volunteer, as a member of the Phase 3 Steering Committee.

On August 28, 1971, Paul married the former Patricia S. Herbert who survives him along with their children, Paul “Tre” III (his wife, Brooke, and children, Abigail, Owen and Emma), Kris (his wife, Jen, and children, Tawney, Trevor and Ryah), and Megan (husband, Frank, and child Erik) Drews. He is also survived by his brother, Kevin (Dodie) Stratton; brothers-in-law, Tom (companion, Cinda) Herbert and Jerry (Ellen) Herbert; and many nieces and nephews.
