Paul L. Bracone, Jr.

Sep 20, 1961 — Jun 30, 2026

Dennison, Ohio

Paul Louis “P.J.” Bracone Jr., 64, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Born September 20, 1961 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Paul Louis and Lucille Mae (née Cull) Bracone.

P.J. grew up in Dennison where he was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a 1979 graduate of Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School and the former Buckeye JVS (now Buckeye Career Center), and he prided himself on being a lifelong learner.

He was gifted in working with electronics and computers and had been self-employed in that field for many years, as well as having worked for Allied Machine and Helblings Supply. Most of all, P.J. loved his work as a trained pyrotechnician – a science and an art that had been passed down to him from his grandfather and father with whom he had produced many fireworks displays over the years for area communities, including Dennison and Tuscora Park.

His surviving family includes his daughter, Emily Bracone; siblings, Michael L. (wife, Teena) Bracone, Maurya L. Shaw, and Lisa M. (companion, Brian Young) Bracone; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Wolfe; brother-in-law, Michael Shaw; paternal grandparents, Luigi and Rosaria Bracone; and maternal grandparents, Carl and Vida Cull.

In keeping with P.J.’s wishes, cremation is planned. His family will celebrate his life on a future date. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Tuscarawas County TNR Project (who receive donations through their link on Facebook), in lieu of flowers.
