Patricia Ann Schmidt

Patricia Ann “Pat” Schmidt, 80, a 20 year resident of Deersville, formerly of the Cleveland area, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Park Village in Dover. Born May 10, 1938 in Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Sebastian and Agnes (Bohley) Hill.

On February 23, 1957, Pat married William Robert Schmidt with whom she has enjoyed nearly 62 years of marriage. He survives her along with their children, Mary (Mark) Garrett, Robert Schmidt, Lawrence (Elaine) Schmidt, Kimberly (Chris) Scheutzow, Raymond Schmidt, and Lynn Schmidt; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her siblings, Jan Brenner, Theresa Sanchez, Sallie Hill, William Hill, Michael Hill, Eugene Hill, and Mary Grace Sammon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Schmidt.

Pat spent many years as the Activities Director for the City of Lakewood’s Office on Aging. In retirement, she and her husband moved to Deersville where she was active in the Garden Club and the Red Hat Society.

Father Tom Gardner will officiate a 1:00 p.m. service on Monday, January 14, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Deersville-Patterson Union Cemetery in Deersville. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
