Patricia G. Hayer

April 12, 1934 — April 24, 2013

Patricia G. Hayer, 79, of New Philadelphia, formerly of Mentor, passed away on April 24, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Born on April 12, 1934 in Pineville, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Thomas Shelby and India Vaughn (Cook) Cooper. She had been a member of Mentor-on-the-Lake V.F.W.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Burdette of New Philadelphia, Susan (Barry) Barnett of Streetsboro, O., Jackie (Gary) Buck of Willoughby, O., and Carolyn (Eric) Sawdey of Willoughby, O.; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Grove of Painesville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Charles Hayer, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Warren and Thomas “Buddy” Cooper; a sister, Margaret “Peggy” McPeak; and a son-in-law, Richard Burdette.

Services for Patricia, officiated by Pastor Brian Flood will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas, Stark, and Carroll Co., 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
