Patricia L. Cox

Patricia L. Cox, 80, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 28, 1937 in Belmont Co., Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Henry Preston Leach and Velma Lucille (Rainbow) Leach-Riley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Tom, Bob and Willard Leach, and a grandson, Cory Cox.

Pat was a 1955 graduate of Conotton Valley High School and a member of Uhrichsville Foursquare Gospel. Her surviving family includes her children, Tina (Patrick) Newman, Larry (Susan) Cox, Cindy Kerns, Henry “Hank” Cox, and Valarie (Bob) Draher; grandchildren, Clinton, Joshua, Michelle, Donna, Randy, Brian, Kayla, Shawntel, Mikayla, and Emily; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Clarence Gordon Leach, Linda (Roger) Deardorff, and Shirley DeMattio; and many nieces and nephews.

Her brother, Rev. Clarence Gordon Leach, will officiate a 1:00 p.m. service on Friday, November 10, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery at New Athens. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
