Patricia J. Boyles-Bolden, 77, of Dennison, formerly of Barnhill, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a sudden illness. Born June 21, 1935 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Francis John Morrison, Sr. and Geraldine Frances (Lang) Morrison.
Growing up in the Twin City area, Patricia was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in the class of 1953. For a number of years, she worked for Ohio Bell and volunteered as a poll worker for the board of election in addition to being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Later in life, she found her true calling as an outstanding homecare provider for the elderly and developmentally disabled. She lovingly opened her home to many individuals over the years and created a family for them. She was honored locally for her work and will also be remembered for her generosity to numerous charities, including the annual holiday food drives in the Village of Barnhill.
On November 13, 1954, Patricia married Harold Loren Boyles with whom she enjoyed nearly twenty-seven years of marriage until his passing on June 23, 1981. They are survived by three daughters, Christina (Rick) Bridgeman and Kathleen Smith of Uhrichsville and Linda (Randy) Tyler of Earlton, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Rick Bridgeman, Jr. and July Bridgeman of Virginia Beach, Va., Frank IV, Jenny, Shane, Jerrod and Mandy Smith, and Jason Ferrell of Uhrichsville, Brenda Knight of Dover and Bobby West of Florida; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia is also survived by her dear friends, Dennis and Claire McNeil, John Saylor and Cathy Ferguson; and Maryann Hamrock and Glenda Fox who shared her home. Patricia married Robert Dean Bolden on April 2, 1982 and shared a loving marriage with him until February 8, 2000 when he preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Francis J. Morrison, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to call at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29. A private family graveside service will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
