Pamela Ann Nayman, 41, of Bowerston, O., passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2009.

Born September 18, 1967 in Barberton, O., she was a daughter of Rev. John and Gladys (Moore) Johnson of Bowerston, O.

A resident of the Bowerston area for the past seven years, Pam had spent much of her life living in southern Ohio. She was a graduate of Buckeye Trail High School in the class of 1985 and went on to obtain certification as a corrections officer and E.M.T. She put her education to use as a corrections officer at Noble Correctional Institute and as an E.M.T. in Quaker City, O. She had also been a caregiver at the Guernsey County Home for a number of years.

On August 14, 2004, Pam married Kenneth E. Nayman who survives her. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by a son, Adam Christman and his wife, Veronica, of Quaker City; her paternal grandmother, Jeanette Gossett of Cambridge; a sister, Faith Dodd and her husband, Jim, of Cambridge, O.; two brothers, John K. Johnson of Newark, O. and Dale Johnson of Alpharetta, Ga.; and many dear nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by four uncles, Dean “Harry” Johnson, Herb Gossett, David Gossett and Glenn Moore; four aunts, Ginny Knott, Jennie Murphy, Clara Helman and Cora Mae Jones; as well as numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Daniel Keith Nayman.

Pam was an avid outdoorswoman who loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the N.R.A. While living in the Bowerston area, she has been a member of Mt. Bethel Community Chapel.

Services for Pam, officiated by her father Rev. John Johnson, will be held on Friday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Bethel Community Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens at North Olmstead, O.

Family and friends are invited to call at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Those wishing to honor Pam’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Mt. Bethel Community Chapel, c/o Rev. John Johnson, 308 Liberty St., Bowerston, OH 44695.
