Oscar L. Maxwell

October 26, 1960 — March 7, 2022

Oscar Lewis Maxwell, 61, of Dennison, passed away suddenly, following an accident at his home, on Monday, March 7, 2022. Born October 26, 1960 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Adrian “Sonny” and Patty Jean (Benedum) Maxwell.

After his 1979 graduate from Claymont High School, Oscar proudly served his country in the U.S. Army until 1983. He was employed in shipping and receiving by Sears for 20 years, and had most recently held the same position for Freeport Press before retiring after 12 years. He was a member of the Dennison and Uhrichsville Eagles, the Uhrichsville Moose and the Hey Jack Sportsman’s Club who faithfully attended Jamboree in the Hills for many years.

Oscar leaves behind his son, Dustin (Amanda Greenwood) Maxwell; daughter, Katrina Maxwell; grandchildren, Jamie Warmoth, Ian Warmoth, Carrie Warmoth, Cali Maxwell, Natalie Maxwell, Dustin Maxwell Jr., Maliah Harris, Dorian Harris, and Corbyn Devore; brothers, Bert J. (Debra) Maxwell and John A. (BabRhetta) Maxwell; sister, Jean Ann (Thomas) Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Oscar’s life will be held on Saturday March 19 at the Dennison Eagles from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
