Norma J. Mcguire

Norma Jean McGuire, 97, a lifelong resident of Dennison, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Born April 13, 1927 in Dennison, she was the last surviving child of the late Lloyd “Shorty” and Lida Jane (Milliken) Johnson – having been preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Gatchell, Wilda McBride, and Vera Johnson.

After attending Dennison High School, Norma married Frank McGuire, Jr. in 1946 and enjoyed 35 years of loving marriage until his passing in 1971. They were blessed with a son, James Lee McGuire; five grandchildren, Lee Ann McGuire, Davy McGuire, Shane McGuire, Angela “Angi” Rider, and Sonia McGuire; seven great-grandchildren, Sophia, Elijah, Slade, Kyrsty, Levi, Damon, and Devin; and great-great-grandchildren, Henry, Calvin, Roman, Giovanni, Aryaeh, and Venetta. They were preceded in death by an infant son, David McGuire.

Norma was a familiar face to many in the Twin City area for her work at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, as well as in the medical practices of Dr. Kuba and Dr. Martinez. She had been a longtime member of Dennison First Presbyterian Church.

In keeping with Norma’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. She will be interred with her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery on a future date.
