Nicholas J. Trolio, 60, of Dennison, O., died unexpectedly in his home on Monday, July 6, 2009.
Born April 11, 1949 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Albert Alfonso and Wilma Dorothy (Toth) Trolio.
A lifelong resident of the Twin City area, Nick was a graduate of Claymont High School in the class of 1967 and a former Councilman for the Village of Dennison. In addition to being an auto mechanic, he also spent many years as the laboratory technician for the Twin City Water and Sewer Department.
Nick loved spending time with his family and was an avid racing fan who enjoyed anything to do with cars. He was a member of Uhrichsville Presbyterian Church.
On June 15, 1968, Nick married the former Shirley Ann Shaw with whom he recently celebrated forty-one years of marriage. Nick and Shirley have two daughters, Danyell Trolio of Stow, O. and Nikki Oliver and her husband, Casey, of Macon, Ga.; and a grandson, Joshua Oliver of Macon.
Nick’s other surviving family includes two brothers, Jimmy Trolio and his wife, Deborah, of Dennison and Chuck Trolio and his wife, Paula, of Roswell; his father-in-law, Harold Shaw and his wife, Betty, of Uhrichsville; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Harold Jr. and Connie Shaw of Uhrichsville, Tom and Nancy Shaw of Dennison, Patty Winrod of Uhrichsville, and Wanda and Pat Cahaney of Dennison; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dollie Shaw, and his uncle, George Toth.
A memorial service and celebration of Nick's life, officiated by Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, in Uhrichsville First Presbyterian Church. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Lupus Foundation and the American Diabetes Association, in lieu of flowers.
