Nicholas Junior Colletti, 80, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio, before giving the gift of life to others by being an organ and tissue donor. Born on January 7, 1946 in Midvale, Ohio. he was a son of the late Nicholas Felix and Margaret “Moonie” Ellen (Garrett) Colletti.

After attending Midvale High School, Nick was an employee of Barmet Aluminum for 28 years until an injury forced his retirement in the late 80’s. On March 12, 1966, he married the former Sheryl Ann Waters with whom he spent nearly 59 years of loving marriage with until her passing on January 17, 2025. He had a deep love and devotion for his family. Nick adored every moment spent with his children and grandchildren – especially looking forward to Saturday morning coffee and donuts with his sons, as well as his nightly Starbucks coffee. He also enjoyed playing countless table games including one of his favorites, left-right-center, with his grandchildren. Nick’s other hobbies included going fishing and playing softball. He had a passion for art, spending countless hours coloring and putting together puzzles with his beloved feline friend, Pookie, by his side.

Nick is survived by his sons, Brian Colletti, Tom Colletti, and Scott (Laci) Colletti; grandchildren, Bree, Austin, Alexis (Kasen Arnold), Ethan, and Noah Colletti; his special “adopted” granddaughter, Nevaeh; brother, Charles “Chuck” (Alice) Colletti; sister, Shirley DeMattio; brother-in-law, Ralph Gaut; numerous nieces and nephews; and his many neighborhood friends. In addition to his wife and parents, Nick is preceded in death by his sister, Maryann Gaut, and his brother-in-law, Dick DeMattio.

According to Nick’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. His family will celebrate his life on a future date. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Alzheimer’s Association, in lieu of flowers.
