Nancy Diane Vandine

Nancy Diane Vandine, 66, of Uhrichsville, passed away at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia on Saturday, June 7, 2014, after a brief illness. Born April 7, 1948 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Eugene and Sarah Margaret (Hines) Carpenter.

On September 22, 1967, Nancy married James Wesley Vandine, beginning their nearly 47 years of marriage. He survives her at their home. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker who devoted her life to the care of her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband and their son, Wesley Eugene (Heather) Vandine of Uhrichsville. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike (Abbie) Carpenter of Dennison and Robert (Becky) Carpenter of Uhrichsville, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Spano.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, a private burial is planned, without a public visitation or service, in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663, in lieu of flowers.
