Nancy Ann Tharp

Nancy Ann Tharp, 75, of Tuscarawas, passed away October 9, 2026, at Truman House in New Philadelphia following a lengthy illness. Born October 20, 1950, in Dennison, Ohio, Nancy was a daughter of the late George Earl Kohler, Jr. and Myrtle Irene (Rothrock) Kohler.

Nancy attended Indian Valley North High School and enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, and crocheting. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by many as from her career as a cashier at Walmart.

She is survived by husband, Robert Allen Tharp; son, Rob (Christine) Haney; daughter, Angel (John) Hill; grandchildren, Leeann (Aaron) Baus, Katelyn (Zach Nedrow) Smitley, Spencer Haney, Evan Cross, Nichole (Austin) Shaffer, Andrew Clum, Kris (Lexi) Burdette, Tyler (Lexi) Kramer, Ray (companion, Elizabeth Landis) Burdette, Lexie (Max) Maxwell, and Ryan (Kelsey) Hill; many great grandchildren; her siblings, Janet Sensbach and Dave Kohler; brother and sister-in-law, Randy (Theresa) Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna (Donald) Shock; sister-in-law, Nancy Kohler; parents-in-law, Robert Tharp and Dee (Joe) Gray; and her special canine companion, Boomer.
