Nancy J. Mcbeth

Nancy Jane McBeth, 86, of Dennison, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born July 1, 1937 in New Matamoras, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Robert Henry and Audrey (Hendershot) Patterson.

Nancy attended Irondale High School before earning her cosmetology certification. She was a beautician for many years and later worked for the State of Ohio Department of Liquor, in addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Uhrichsville Eagles Auxiliary, enjoyed fishing and gardening, and loved to feed the birds and squirrels in her yard.

On October 31, 1981, Nancy married Robert Eugene McBeth with whom she enjoyed over 34 years of marriage until his passing on February 14, 2016. One of 21 children, Nancy was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 9 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Glenn) Burtner and Helen (Ed) Greenwood; grandchildren, Tammy Dearing, Shawnsee (James) Armstrong, Kimberly (Tommy) Murphy, and Shane (Allison) Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Eric Jr., Jason, Reese, Jordan, Darran, Halie, Jade, Jake, Madison, Garrett, Aubrianna, and Braelynn; 9 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Jean Jackson, Golda Smith, Betty Hasley, and Helen Porter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her son, Donald Ray Hooper, infant daughter, Maggie Marie Mace, and a grandson, Joshua Hooper, preceded her in death, as well.

Services, officiated by Pastor Kory Rowland, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the funeral. Interment will be beside her beloved husband at Ridgecrest Memory Garden in Dover.
