Mona Frances Hall, 82, of Kimbolton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after a sudden illness. Born July 30, 1936 in Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late George and Effie (Parsons) Metz.

In her later years, she was well known as a trusted advisor for the many people who sought her wisdom about the care of horses. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who encouraged her family in their own pursuits, including 4-H and caring for horses.

She is survived by her children, Wayne (Kathy) Harris, Timothy Hall and Sandra (Michael) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Wayne Jr., Samantha, Nicole, Samuel and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Bella, Henry and Trevor; sister, Mattie (David) Keyes; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Don, Orville, Shirle, Goldie and Emma.
A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Tom Dawson, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, in First United Methodist Church in Bowerston. Her family will receive callers for an hour prior to the service, and a reception is planned following it. Interment will be on a later date in her family’s cemetery in West Virginia where she will be laid to rest with her parents and husband. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research, and the March of Dimes.
