Milloni Gill “Butch” Western, 71, of Sherrodsville, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health. Born February 21, 1950 in Canton, he was the last surviving child of the late Milloni Daniel and Frances Madeline (Young) Western.
On June 7, 1974, Butch married the former Janie Sue Enos who survives him along with four children, Karla (companion, Kirt Jackson) Western, Randy (Tonya) Western, Michael Western, and Heather (Sean) Mahaffey; 17 grandchildren, Ashley (Brock), Brittany (Jason), Corey, Brandi, Anthony (Sarah), Robert (Danielle), Danielle (Katie), Hunter (Rexx), Tanner, Austin (Maison), Cassidy, Alex, Karla R., Michael, Thayne, Savanna, Mikelle, and Malloni; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers- and sister-in-law, Walter Burdette, Billy Haney, Bobbie Jo Western, and Bridget Western; many beloved cousins, including Lynn Demuth who was like a sister to him; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bob and Mary Enos, Fran Burcher, Carl and Gilda Enos, Kenny and Toni Enos, Olive Enos, Jerry Enos, and Bruce Enos; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Bill, Robb, and Jason Western; a great-granddaughter, Avaya Western; three sisters, Rosie Williams, Barbara Burdette, and Angel Haney; a brother, Chuck Western; and his parents-in-law, Paul Enos and Marie Enos-McMasters.
Butch was a certified welder in constructional steel who was employed by Beaver Excavating for over 30 years until his retirement in 2012. He was a former member of the Uhrichsville Moose, Midvale and Tuscarawas VFW Posts, and the Uhrichsville Eagles who was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. enthusiast, He loved watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns, as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed bowling, softball, and basketball in his younger years, as well as tinkering in his garage. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who meant everything in the world to him.
Family and friends are invited to call at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13. In the interest of public health, all who attend must wear a mask and maintain social distancing. To avoid overcrowding, a limited number of people will be able to be inside at one time, so the family kindly requests that those who come will not linger to allow other callers the opportunity to pay their respects to Butch. Pastor Joe Pena, Jr. will officiate a graveside service at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
