Michael W. Wardell

Michael W. Wardell, 51, of Dennison, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Dennison after a lengthy illness. Born January 17, 1962 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Lewis Lee and Trinda Marie (Laner) Wardell.

A lifelong resident of Dennison, Mike was a roofer for several area construction companies. He loved to go fishing and camping, and was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was Pentecostal by faith.

On October 26, 1998, Mike married the former Ladonna J. Perdue who survives him. He is also survived by a son, Michael Wardell of Midvale; stepchildren, Anthony and Sheena Rominger of Freeport; grandson, Ryder Vasquez of Freeport; sister, Tina (Ed) Lippencott of Uhrichsville; brothers, Angelo (Lori) Wardell, Steven Wardell and Jack (Wanda) Wardell, all of Dennison, and David Wardell of Salem; aunts, Ida Deceuster, Norma Laner and Pat Cross; uncle, Clarence “Tadpole” Wardell, Jr.; 12 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews with another expected; numerous dear friends; and a number of cousins and other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Tammy Lynn Wardell.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation. He will be interred with his parents in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where a graveside service is planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to his family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269 to help defray the cost of his final expenses, in lieu of flowers.
