Michael Eugene Rothrock, 73, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison. Born February 12, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late Richard Eugene Rothrock and Daisy (Francis) Cookson Rothrock.
A 1970 graduate of Claymont High School, Mike was a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years, in addition to working in the maintenance department at Alsco in Gnadenhutten. Always a handyman, Mike loved tinkering and anything that involved tools, he also loved shooting and playing with his dog, Dusty. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
On February 14, 1991, Mike married the former Meribeth Ann Frankovitch who survives him at their home. He is also survived by a daughter, Nikki (Shawn) Robinson; son, Christopher (Kendra) Rothrock; grandchildren, Madeline, Zachary and Ethan Rothrock and Myla and Reed Robinson; his stepmother, Carol Rothrock; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Cookson, Jr., and two sisters, Mitzi Domingue and Carol Heavlin, as well as his parents.
Mike’s family will receive callers from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison.
