Michael E. Fowler

Michael Eugene Fowler, 73, of Midvale, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio, after a lengthy illness. Born December 31, 1952 in Dennison, Ohio, he was a son of the late Terry Ann Fowler-Byrd and John Leslie Morrison.

On February 3, 1979, Mike married Patricia Ann (née Doughtery) Fowler with whom he spent over 39 years of loving marriage until her passing on June 22, 2018. They are survived by their daughter, Jamie (Robert) Randolph; grandchildren, Jerimiah (companion, Ashley) Randolph, Travis (Madelynne) Randolph, Anna Randolph, and Jakob (Shalcey) Myers; and great-grandchildren, Jansen, Gemma, Hunter, and Kayelee. Mike is also survived by his siblings, Jeff (Monica) Byrd, Todd Byrd, and Teresa Glauser; many nieces and nephews; dear family friends, Sandra and David Berger and Angie Robinson whom he lovingly called “The Mole”; and his canine companion, “Little Man”. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Campbell.

A lifelong area resident, Mike was employed by Novellis (formerly Barmet and Aleris) for over 30 years. Among his favorite pastimes was going to car shows, but he was always happiest when he had the opportunity to spend time with his family – especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored.

A 1:00 p.m. funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 1, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison before interment beside his beloved wife at Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service.
