Mary Mabel Mangon, 90, of New Philadelphia, O., formerly of Dennison, O., passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Union Hospital in Dover, O., following a period of declining health.
Born November 24, 1918 in Dietz, Wy., she was a daughter of the late Frederick and May M. (Tomassi) Casagranda.
A longtime resident of Dennison, Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a great lover of animals who especially enjoyed feeding and watching birds.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Robert Joseph Mangon; a sister, Emma C. Colvin; and a brother, Rudolph Casagranda.
Her surviving family includes three sons, William J. Mangon of Dennison, Gary Lee Mangon of Goshen and Paul Joseph Mangon of Georgia and his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Wilson of Dennison and Jean Jenkins of Uhrichsville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, a private family service for Mary will be officiated by Father Martin J. Ralko. Interment will follow beside her mother in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison.
Those wishing to honor Mary’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the charity of their choice.
