Mary Lou and her high school sweetheart, Eugene Donald “Gene” McCluskey, Sr., were graduates of Dennison High School in 1947 and went on to be married on May 20, 1949. Together they lovingly raised a family and enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage until his passing on December 1, 2008. They are survived by sons, Eugene D. McCluskey, Jr. and Timothy L. (Jackie) McCluskey, and grandchildren, Kaitlin, Matthew, Morgan and Vincent McCluskey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Charles, Dean, John, and Robert Trimmer, and a sister, Maxine West.
Mary Lou devoted her life to her family and her greatest joy came from the time that she spent with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the former Grant St. United Methodist Church in Dennison and had worked at the Scio Pottery and Twin City Hospital.
Her nephew, Pastor Denny Trimmer, will officiate her funeral at 12pm on Friday, November 6, 2015 in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Hospital Twin City Foundation and the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum.
