Mary G. Fondriest-Barrett

Mary G. Fondriest-Barrett, 87, of Dennison, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, with her family by her side at Trinity West Medical Center in Steubenville, Ohio.  She was born on September 25, 1933 in Shadyside Ohio and was a daughter of the late Edward & Maude (Andrews) Coggins.

She was preceded in death by Edward A. Fondriest Jr. whom she married on October 2, 1954 and Robert E. Barrett whom she married on January 9, 1995.  She is survived by Edward A. (Teena) Fondriest III, Eric (Joyce) Fondriest, Key (Denise) Fondriest, Hedy (Lyle) Howard, Kurt (Dave Sapinski) Fondriest, Michelle (Robert) Knight, Chuck (Rose) Barrett, Robert (Debbie) Barrett II, Thomas (Dana) Barrett, Debra (Douglas) Joyner; a sister, Jean Jericho; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a special dear friend, Fred Bollon.  In addition to her parents & husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Frank, and Edward Coggins; sister, Margaret Stratton; infant daughter, Angel; and stepdaughter, Barbara (Dave) Miles.

Mary was an astute long time income tax preparer in the community who genuinely cared about each and every one of her tax customers.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she will be missed by many.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, she will be cremated without public visitation.  A celebration of Mary's life will be planned at a later date.
