Mary A. "Nancy" Burns

Mary A. “Nancy” Burns, 74, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover after a lengthy illness. Born September 12, 1939 in Wainwright, Ohio , she was a daughter of the late Henry Andrew and Margaret ( Bell ) Wallace.

Nancy was a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County who had been employed by the Uhrichsville Army-Navy Garrison and the Uhrichsville Moose for many years. She was a member of the Uhrichsville Moose and Uhrichsville Eagles.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her loving family which includes her 3 daughters, Penny Famal and Wendy Piccin of Dennison and Heather (Gregg) Sensbach of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, D.B. Piccin, Jarrid (Des) Famal, Jessie (Jayde Meechan) Piccin, Devon (Autumn) Famal, Spencer (Latoya) Hines and Sydney Hines; great-grandchildren, Addisyn Meechan, Adriona Famal and Guliona Famal; brother, William (Joyce) Wallace of Uhrichsville; sisters, Vikki Fawcett of Dennison and Eleanor (Joe) Maffo of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Nancy ’s wishes, a private graveside service is planned without a public visitation. She will be interred with her late husband, Donald W. Burns, in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to honor Nancy ’s memory may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W. , New Philadelphia , OH 44663 .
