Mary Ellen Arnold

Mary Ellen Arnold, 61, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at her home. Born July 11, 1956 in Harlem Springs, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Powell) Gordon. She was a local resident for most of her life and had worked many years as a cake decorator for Mako’s Market and Clayland IGA.

On November 1, 1974, Mary married Roger D. Arnold with whom she enjoyed over 36 years of marriage until his passing on April 9, 2011. They are survived by children, Brian (Angela) Arnold, Greg (Melissa) Arnold, Lynnette Weber, Jessica (George) Arnold, Michelle (Brian) Cadle, Becky (Joe) Sickels and Karen (Weston) Bingel; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brothers, Charles “Chuck” Gordon and Donald (Cindy) Gordon, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron; sisters, Ruth “Mugs” Brown and Sue Woodburn; and brother, Wilbur Gordon.

Services, officiated by Pastor Joe Hackney, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Rush Church Cemetery beside her beloved husband. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice and the Tuscarawas County Humane Society.
