Mary Anne Rupert

Mary Anne Rupert, 76, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville after a lengthy illness. Born July 31, 1934 in Rush Twp., Tuscarawas Co. near Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Rupert and Lelia Ellen (Schaffer) Rupert Pugh.

A lifelong resident of Uhrichsville, Mary Anne was a longtime member of Uhrichsville United Methodist Church. Her surviving family includes a sister, Marguerite Hooper of East Sparta; a brother, William C. Pugh and his companion, Joyce Palmer, of Uhrichsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Edwin Pugh; a brother, Donald Rupert; a sister, Frances Bloom; and an infant sister, June Rupert.

Services for Mary Anne, officiated by Rev. John W. Clark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Garden in Dover. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
