Martha J. "Sue" Herron

Martha Jane “Sue” Herron, 78, of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, passed away at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Born September 14, 1946 in Rainelle, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Arvel Franklin and Gladys Louise (Fernatt) Sanner.

A Tuscarawas County resident since 1950, Sue grew up in Dennison, Ohio and was a member of Dennison High School’s class of 1964. She worked at Zimmer in Dover for fourteen years before retiring in 1991. In her retirement years, she enjoyed working part-time at the food court in New Towne Mall for a number of years. She had been a member of the Uhrichsville Women of the Moose since 1978 and attended Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville.

Sue will be deeply missed by her children, Jacquie Haney, Troy (partner, Eric) Evans, and Kirk Williams; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Patty Dryden; brother, Michael W. Sanner; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Todd Evans, and brothers, Charles and Robert “Bobby” Sanner.

Pastor John Stevenson will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Friday, June 20, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. Sue will be interred in Roxford Church Cemetery in Union Township near Dennison. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to their favorite charity.
