Marla S. Weppler, 57, of Tippecanoe, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Born December 20, 1958 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Robert Samuel and Edna Luella (Kimmel) Morris.
Marla is survived by her husband, Mark E. Weppler, whom she married on July 19, 2008 after being together since 1993; children, Nicole L. Hamma and Keela M. Bastien; siblings, Mary (Fred) Zimmerman [her twin], Susan (Paul) Snyder and Richard (Nancy) Morris; many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, James Zimmerman; and her cat, Pywackit.
A lifelong resident of the area, Marla earned her degree from Kent State University in 1997. She was active in the Uhrichsville Women of the Moose, The Cauliflower Alley Club, and as the co-owner and operator of Lightning Raceway. Previously, she had been employed by Harcatus for 13 years. She enjoyed camping, ATV riding and all outdoor activities, as well as gaming trips to Las Vegas. She loved her cats and dearly missed Diamond who died recently. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she will be remembered for celebrating it with great enthusiasm.
A memorial service, officiated b Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Park Christian Church, 236 Miller Ave, Dennison, OH 44621. Visitation will be from noon until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
