Mark Robin Butler, 60, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, following a brief – but bravely fought – battle with cancer. Born March 30, 1960 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lois (Leggett) Butler.
Mark was a lifelong area resident and longtime employee of Aero Pallets in Sandyville. He was an avid racing enthusiast who enjoyed watching all kinds of auto sports, especially NASCAR.
He will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his loving companion of 30 years, Rose “Peaches” Fernatt; children, Kristen Butler, Chad (Tiffany) Butler, Angela (Tim) Cunningham, and Michael (Jonalee) Fernatt; grandchildren, Michael Carpenter, Savannah Cunningham, Wyatt Cunningham, Chloe Butler, Alex Butler, Aaron Butler, Braden Fernatt, and Adeline Fernatt; brothers, Tim Butler, Keith Butler, Mike Butler, and Glenn Butler; dear family friends, Mike McIntyre, Ryan Ferguson, and Perry Kohler; and his faithful canine companions, Baxter and Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Butler.
According to Mark’s wishes, cremation is planned. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 2, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at DK’s Bar in Midvale, in conjunction with a benefit for him that had already been planned for that day. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mark Butler Benefit Fund at First National Bank of Dennison.
