January 27, 1927 — June 17, 2018

Marjorie Helen Wenger, 91, of Dennison, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville. Born January 27, 1927 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Rose Emma (Mahalkey) Stucin.

A lifelong Twin City resident, Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who took great pride in being a “domestic engineer”. She was a member of Newport United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville for over sixty years where she was active as a Sunday School teacher, a certified lay speaker, the church treasurer, and an integral volunteer at the church’s Memorial Day services each year. In her spare time, Margie loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She and her husband enjoyed many happy times together while fly fishing.

On June 26, 1948, she married Harry Delbert Wenger in Greenup, Kentucky. They enjoyed nearly 57 years of marriage until his passing on April 8, 2005 and are survived by four children, Vicki (Frank II) Page, Darla Achey, Paula Wenger, and Mark (Debbie) Wenger; grandchildren, Carrie (Robbie Frye) Smith, Craig (Trisha Thompson) Smith, Jennifer Smith, Emily (Nick) Polley, Amanda (James) Lama, and Nicole (Philip) Krug; and 6 great-grandchildren. Margie is also survived by her siblings, Barbara Rice and James Stucin, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Camilla “Milly” Bridgeman, Rose Boyer, Alma Luznar, Mary Luznar; brothers, Anthony, Frank, Albert, William and Charles Stucin; and sons-in-law, Jack Smith and David Achey.

Services, officiated by Pastor Lyle Warren, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Tunnel Hill Cemetery near Bowerston. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Newport United Methodist Church.
