Marie Thresa Dunn

Marie Thresa Dunn, a longtime resident of Uhrichsville, O., died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, O., following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Randolph and Charlotte (Gendice) Lopenski, and was a graduate of Smithville High School.

On October 28, 1952, Marie married Norman G. Dunn who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a dear aunt, Lena J. Gendice.

Marie was a member of First Christian Church in Uhrichsville and had worked for several area businesses over the years. She is survived by a number of cousins and dear friends. Marie was a great animal lover who enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds that frequented her backyard and was especially devoted to her many cats whom she loved dearly.

A service, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Larry Miracle, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. In keeping with Marie’s wishes, no public visitation will be held prior to the service. Interment will be beside her husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Those wishing to honor Marie’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Uhrichsville First Christian Church.
