Margaret Marie Edie, 75, of New Philadelphia, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Born December 2, 1946 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Albright and Naomi (Campbell) Albright-Bradley.
A lifelong area resident, Margaret was a 1965 graduate of Claymont High School before earning her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Kent State University. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She attended Newport United Methodist Church in her younger years and loved doing crafts and collecting Elvis memorabilia and had other decorative collections. She will be remembered for her beautiful Christmas craft creations, especially.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her children, John (Lynn) Corpman, Naomi (Chuck) Anslow, Ruth Edie, Jamie Edie, and Michelle Parr; sister, Ruth (Walter) Kula; brother, John Albright; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edie; son, Jacob Edie; grandson, Branden Warner; brothers, Jake and Bill Albright; and stepfather, Howard Bradley.
Services, officiated by Pastor Aaron Linard, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
