Mandy J. Miller, 50, of Dennison, passed away on May 03, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 09, 1961 she was a daughter of Dora Ann (Tharp) Torch of Dennison and the late James Vincent Torch, Jr.
Mandy graduated from Claymont High School and Buckeye Career Center in 1979. She worked for the former New Philadelphia K-mart from its opening until its closing; she then proceeded to be office worker for Ember Complete Care. Mandy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. To her nieces and nephews Mandy was known as the “cool” aunt and she loved spending time with them.
On February 22, 1991 Mandy married Steve Miller who survives her of New Philadelphia. In addition to her mother Dora, she is also survived by brothers, Jim Torch, III of Brightwood and Mark Torch and wife, Anne, of Pickerington; a sister, Lori Kosegi of Midvale; nieces and nephews, Natalie and husband, Jake Burdette, Amanda and Mikki Renee McCue, James, Meagan, and Mark Torch; great nieces and nephews, Jakyha, Josten and Marrisa Burdette, Dawson, Aiden and Bentley McCue.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a niece, Brittany Torch and a great nephew, C.J. Brown, Jr.
Services for Mandy, officiated by Father Anthony Lonzo will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 7, 2012 at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to so to the Immaculate Conception Church’s Cemetery Fund.
