Lydia Jane Mansfield, 84, of Uhrichsville, formerly of Scio, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover. Born April 27, 1935 in Conotton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Alta Mason Blaine Huff and Chloe Mae (Cox) Huff. Lydia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
On January 28, 1951, Lydia married Charles E. “Chuck” Mansfield with whom she enjoyed over 54 years of marriage until his passing on May 12, 2005. They are survived by daughters, Shirley (Doug) Reynolds and Patricia “Joanne” (Tim) Keplinger; sons, Donald (Leslie) Mansfield, Sr., James (Alice) Mansfield, Sr., Richard (Karen) Mansfield, Sr., and Kevin (Shannon) Mansfield; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Audrey Arlene and Linda Marie Mansfield; a grandson, Richard Matthew Mansfield; and her siblings, Ethel Huff, Verna Shawver, Jessie Grezlik, and Donald, Fred, John and Ray Huff.
Services, officiated by Pastor Timothy Keplinger, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Bowerston’s Longview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
