Lois Juanita Sproul, 91, of Rush Twp., near Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away at her home on Friday, February 8, 2013 after a period of declining health. Born June 20, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Bernice O. Helter.
After her graduation from Uhrichsville High School in 1939, Lois became the secretary for her family’s business, the Helter and Johnson Feed Mill, working there for many years until its closing. On August 7, 1941, she married Paul Robert Sproul with whom she enjoyed nearly seventy years of marriage until his passing on September 20, 2010. They were a devoted and loving couple who enjoyed working together on their farm throughout their lives. Survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Services for Lois, officiated by Pastor Rod Phillips, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
