Lois A. Brady, 84, of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville, Ohio after a lengthy illness. Born November 25, 1927 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Otis Preston and Goldie (Davis) Waltz.

On June 1, 1946, Lois married Benjamin C. Brady with whom she enjoyed nearly sixty-three years of marriage until his passing on November 15, 2009. Prior to her marriage, she had worked at Miller’s Restaurant, but from that point on she devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Lois was a longtime member of Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church who enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. She was also a volunteer at the Twin City Hospital Coffee Bar for many years.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Daniel A. Brady of Pass Christian, Miss.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Capes of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Daniel A. (Billie) Brady, Jr. of St. Stephens, S. Car., Arlene (Tucker) Watkins of Henderson, N. Car., Cristin (Scott) Beitzel of Uhrichsville, Carrie (Scott) Duncan of East Sparta, and Shannon Snowden and Joseph P. Brady of Meridian, Miss.; great-grandchildren, Madison and Dylan McKibben of Uhrichsville, Jacob and Samuel Duncan of East Sparta, Acea Ange, Stephanie Snowden and Jazmin Brady of Meridian, Miss., and Tristan Watkins of Henderson, N. Car.; brother, Michael “Mick” (Pauline) Bricker of St. Petersburg, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Waltz, and a sister, Nancy Hanks.

Services for Lois, officiated by Rev. Harry Milligan, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. She will be interred beside her beloved husband in Gnadenhutten’s Clay Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church and Uhrichsville First Presbyterian Church.
