Lillian M. Wilson

Lillian Mae Wilson, 86, of Dennison, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Truman House in New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health. Born April 9, 1938 near Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester Lee and Mary Mabel (Casagranda) Mangon.

Lil was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison and a 1956 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She owned and operated her own shop, Shear Magic, in Uhrichsville for over 30 years, in addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – roles which brought her great happiness over the years.

On June 18, 1957, Lil married Robert Oliver Wilson with whom she looked forward to celebrating 67 years of loving marriage next month. She is also survived by their sons, Jeff (Vicki) Wilson and Greg (Tamra) Wilson; granddaughters, Heather (Chris) Roup, Monica Wilson, Stephanie Wilson, and Sarah Thornburg; great-grandchildren, Harper Roup, Caiden Roup, Emma Thornburg and Kate Thornburg; brother, Gary L. Mangon; sister, Jean M. Jenkins; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William J., Paul J., and Robert J. Mangon.

Father Jeff Coning will officiate the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, at Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. According to Lil’s wishes, no visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 139 3rd St. NE, New Philadelphia, OH  44663.
