Lestena Marie Lehigh

Lestena Marie Lehigh, 76, of Uhrichsville, died on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Community Hospice in New Philadelphia, with her beloved husband of 47 years, Michael J. Lehigh, always by her side. Born August 28, 1939 in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Lena (Sheely) Brown.

Her family here on earth includes her children, Matthew (Tara) Lehigh, Lora (James) Rennicker, David Lehigh, Molly (Derek) Nickolson and Mary (Curtis) Terry; grandchildren, Dakota and Kaley Lehigh, Thomas, Steven and Helen Rennicker, and Ian, Andrew and Lena Terry; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Lehigh, and a grandson, Alvie Rennicker.

Lestena was a 1957 graduate of North Canton High School before working at Hoover for 14 years. She was baptized in and a member of Community Christian Church in North Canton. After her marriage to Michael on June 16, 1968, she devoted her life to her husband and family.

Lestena’s family wish to extend their gratitude to Community Hospice for the care they provided during 4th stage breast, bone and stomach cancer. They also offer special thanks to Shawn Moreland (Mike’s cousin) for her professional care at least 4 days each week or more which was greatly appreciated.

Services, officiated by Pastor Florence McNutt, will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Garden in Dover. Visitation will be 4-7pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
