Lena T. Hart

Lena Teresa Hart, 87, of Dennison, passed away on November 1, 2015, at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville. Born September 30, 1928 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinette C. (Guzzi) Feri.

Lena graduated from Dennison High School in 1947. She then worked for Dennison Pottery and Timken Roller Bearing before starting her family and becoming a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She will be fondly remembered for the many years that she ran the concession stand at the Dennison swimming pool. In her spare time, she loved to play Bingo and crochet. Lena was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Altar Society in Dennison.

On March 26, 1949, she married Marvin Eugene “Gene” Hart who preceded her in death on May 6, 2002. The last of her family’s generation, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Josephine Vinci, Rose Lecce, Chetty Angelozzi, and Ralph Feri. Her surviving family includes her daughter, Tina Hart; son, Eugene “Huck” Hart; grandchildren, Crystal Brindley, Jackson (companion, Amanda) Brindley, Bart Brindley, and Ryan (Katrina) Hart; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamen, Kamryn, Chloe, Weston, Presten, and Finley; and many nieces and nephews.

Father Tyron Tomson will celebrate the funeral Mass at 10am on Thursday, November 5, at Immaculate Church in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Wednesday in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church’s Memorial Book Fund and Tridia Hospice.
